welcome to ESAFORM 2026

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to ESAFORM2026, the 29th edition of the flagship annual event of the European Scientific Association for Material Forming (ESAFORM). ESAFORM is a non-profit scientific association founded in January 1997 with the mission of promoting research, collaboration, and innovation across the wide spectrum of material forming processes.

ESAFORM2026 will be jointly organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National Technical University of Athens, and will take place in the historic and vibrant city of Thessaloniki, Greece, from ESAFORM2026 will be jointly organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National Technical University of Athens, and will take place in the historic and vibrant city of Thessaloniki, Greece, from 27 to 29 April 2026 ESAFORM2026 will be jointly organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the National Technical University of Athens, and will take place in the historic and vibrant city of Thessaloniki, Greece, from .

Each year, the ESAFORM Conference gathers around 400 leading experts from academia and industry, offering a dynamic platform to present and discuss the latest advances in theory, experimentation, simulation, and application in the field of material forming. The scientific program will be structured around a series of Mini-Symposia, reflecting the evolving landscape of the discipline:

Additive Manufacturing
Composites forming processes
Extrusion and drawing
Forging and Rolling
Formability of metallic materials
Friction and wear in metal forming
Incremental and sheet metal forming
Innovative joining by forming technologies
Optimization and Inverse Analysis in forming
Machining, cutting and severe plastic deformation
Material behavior modelling
New and advanced numerical strategies for material forming
Non-conventional processes
Polymer processing and thermo-mechanical properties
Sustainability on material forming
Advanced metal casting

For ESAFORM2026, our vision is to deliver an impactful and memorable event, rich in scientific content, vibrant in intellectual exchange, and inclusive of both academic and industrial communities.

We warmly invite you to join us in making ESAFORM2026 a meaningful milestone in the ongoing evolution of materials forming science and technology.

We look forward to welcoming you to Thessaloniki!
